2.3.9.b Should thinning be carried out systematically?

Thinning is a corrective practice that cannot and should not be sufficient on its own. It is advisable to take a broader approach to managing yield and quality control, and not to limit oneself to thinning as the only measure.
Not only should it not be considered a systematic practice but also, when it is implemented, it should be carried out on a vine-by-vine basis.
